This should be dated Aug 28th

But it had never dawned on me to create a blog for this. And I created a blog for the end of the world for Christ's sake! (you won't find it - I deleted the posts and turned it into this one)

But for real, I'm Leanna a fantasy football fanatic and metal enthusiast. And I claim to be no expert at either. If there's anything I'm an expert at - it's playing UFC on the PS3. On a the real too - I'm not a move spammer. Anyway - I do that a lot, get sidetracked. So welcome to my blog!!!

Ok so I'm going to run down the draft I partook in this year. For the sake of conversation and clarification I'll be referring to this league as my Money ($) League or League of Record or Redbeard's League (probably won't always be proper nouns). As it is really the only league I give a crap about. For one thing, it costs 50 damn dollars to join every year. But the payout is awesome and the good times are aplenty.
Upon draft day, which was made aware of very early in advance, we had 1 guy not show up (I know right! shame shame!!) and another leave during his bench selections (even lamer!). The guy that didn't show got the best available player at his most needed position - (in order of roster qb, rb, rb, wr, etc). That phantom ghost had 9th overall pick. A pick lower than my nemesis - the league commissioner. Well I mean - he's only my nemisis because he's the commish and the dude that got me into all this. Besides he's mad competitive and won't talk even just NFL football anymore with me. So yeah, I take that as a challenge. But I still think it's cute that he thinks he helps me with all his 'knowledge'. :D
Besides all that, Helena and Hampton (TD's and Hamp's - team names respectively) hosted a very comfortable draft.
And the blonde elephant in the room could never taint that. (yeah I said taint)

So anyways
I lucked out with 7th overall pick this year in Redbeard's 2013 Fantasy Football Draft. Behind much deliberation and contemplation I made up my mind to follow Matthew Barry's advice (as well as Michael Fabiano) to go "RB early and and often". Which kind of paid off - in the sense that I intended. But maybe not in the sense I thought things would play out prior to obtaining my starters. So here we go....

1st Round/7th pick - Marshawn Lynch -- Ok so I may have or have not done something bad here. I did NOT realize Foster was on the board. I thought he was gone and it would be ritardondo of me to shout out his name all eager like, right? So yeah, I got Marshawn - which I was actually very very proud of (even after the fact).
I love Skittles. And BeastMode. Those are all great things to me. That, and Lynch has done everything he could but carry me to a championship for the past 2 years. Which to me - is weird. Cuz see... I also always had Ray Rice. Lynch has been a 2RB (if you were lucky) for those last 2 years. But Ray Rice, I always had as my number 1. I decided to pass even HIM up... But I already knew I would do that. I was preset on taking Lynch over Rice. But not Lynch over Arian Foster. I just never thought he'd fall to me. I really hope neither of those decisions prevents me from the gold.

2nd Round/4th pick (14th overall) - Alfred Morris -- He was there cuz this is a PPR (point per reception) league. There's no evidence to show he'll be a great pass catcher. But, for the record, I wanted LeSean McCoy and Mr. Autopick got him cuz of course Justin picked Foster after my Lynch pick, but there was also Rodgers, Rice, Luck (wtf was she thinking about this guy so early for), LeSean, and AJ Green. Justin (commish/leftover rejects) got aj green and I was for sure stuck with my rb strategy still. I just couldn't believe Freddy was still there. He was a 1RB during the early preseason prior to the whole "Can I play, Coach?" Shanahanigans.

To Be continued tomorrow... ish
